The Kinkle Family: Vacation in Hawaii

Miia went on her 3rd destination flight and this time it was to Maui, Hawaii. We went with my parents, my uncle Peter, Aunt Rita, and cousin Lori. Miia had a whole new world to discover: the ocean, sand, palm trees, daily visits to the pool, etc. Unfortunately she was asleep each time we saw the dolphins swim by the hotel and she didn't like the ocean enough to spend much time there. Miia started also crawling (just a few steps--video to come) and her 3rd tooth broke through (top right). She now loves Peek-A-Boo and so grandpa kept her entertained for quite awhile on the plane. This trip to Maui was far different than years past, primarily because of Miia. We only did a little snorkeling (at Black Rock we wondered if we'd ever make it back to shore or just drown because the current was so strong), some body surfing, and the rest of the time was spent by the pool or in the hotel room while Miia napped. However, it was so fun to see her explore and it was wonderful for Jason and I to spend so much time with her. Next year, Miia will be able to show her little cousin Mallorie the joys of Hawaii!
