6 Months and loving life!

Miia has been growing like a weed. She now weighs 15 lbs 6 oz and measures 26" long. It's almost time to put away those 3-6 month clothes and graduate her to the next level. She is still a great sleeper with 2 naps a day and bedtime about 7:30 for a 11-12 hours at night. She is so easy going and fun. She takes at least one meal a day where we add in a new food every 4-7 days. She has now had sweet potatoes, squash/zucchini, banana, and avocado. Now that she is 6 months, we can try more new things.

Miia has her first tooth! It came through with ease. We didn't notice any extra fussiness or other typical symptoms of teething, since she's been gnawing on everything and drooling practically since birth.

We had Tara's baby shower on July 24th, and while Tara and her baby were the stars, everyone kept asking when Miia would wake up from her nap. Once she woke up, she was passed around 20 or so women. We are so excited to welcome Miia's baby cousin to the family!

We took Miia to the CA State Fair on Friday, July 30 and Miia had her first look at cows, goats, piglets, carnival rides and more. We were out in the blistering sun for hours, but Miia kept smiling, took a mini nap, and stared in awe at everything we came across.

Can't go to the fair and pass up the junk food, such as this brick of fries.

Miia is sitting up so well, but still can't sit from a laying position. She can scoot herself around in a circle while sitting or laying down so that she can change the direction of her roll. We feel like she'll be crawling in no time, but we're in no hurry. We are enjoying life as parents and find it hard to believe that 6 months has passed. Miia is our true joy!
